A text field in any app

Try it: copy an example, then click the keycap in the menu bar.

Clipboard: alex@example.com

How it works

  1. Copy some text

Copy it as usual, with ⌘C or from the Edit menu. Any plain text works.

  2. Click the icon

Put the cursor where the text should go, then click the ClickType keycap in the menu bar.

  3. It’s typed for you

ClickType sends the text as keystrokes, as if you were typing it yourself.

Typed, not pasted

Works where paste doesn’t

Some forms, remote desktops and virtual machine consoles block or ignore paste. Keystrokes get through.

Leaves your clipboard alone

Whatever you copied is still there after ClickType types.

Stays on your Mac

ClickType reads the clipboard only when you click its icon, and keeps no copy. It doesn’t collect or send any data, and its code is open for you to check. Privacy policy
